Firewall App Blocker (FAB) 是一款可封鎖某些應用程式或處理程序的對外連線以防危害情事發生的軟體。雖然 Windows 系統內建的防火牆功能亦可封鎖某些應用程式或檔案的對外連線，但若要使用進階功能，它的介面並不容易操作，尤其對初學者更是複雜難用。不過，有了 FAB 之後，整個操作過程就變得非常容易，您只要將想要封鎖的應用程式或處理程序拖放到 FAB 視窗或者以添加檔案的方式從硬碟找到它們即可。
FAB 封鎖某些應用程式或處理程序的對外連線，係著眼於安全上的考量，如防止敏感或重要的資料外洩或防止惡意程式的危害或攻擊等等。不過，這款免費軟體必須在 Windows 的防火牆功能正常運作的情況下才有作用。所以，如果 Windows 防火牆功能遭到防毒軟體或第三方安全防護或防火牆軟體 (如 Avast) 的停用，那麼必須先予以啟用才能正常使用 FAB。
FAB 的防火牆功能除了可讓使用者自訂阻擋清單的預設模式、完全禁止連線的阻止網路以及停用防火牆外，現在又新增了只允許特定應用程式連線的白名單模式。在不同模式中使用者都可自行選擇要阻止或允許對外連線的應用程式或處理程序。設定好之後只要在個別項目上按右鍵即可隨時啟用或停用、阻止或允許各該應用程式或處理程序的對外連線，簡單易用。
此外，在功能選單的「檔案」底下，您可以匯入清單或匯出清單，或在「檔案」→ Netsh Commands 底下匯入防火牆設定 (Import Firewall Config) 或匯出防火牆設定 (Export Firewall Config)，方便在不同電腦中快速做好設定。
注意：程式啟動後為英文介面，請從功能選單的 Options → Languages 下拉式選單中選取「Traditional Chinese 繁體中文」，即變成繁體中文介面。

In Windows, you can use Windows Firewall to block or unblock certain applications, but it doesn’t offer an easy-to-use interface for its advanced features. If you want to block an application from accessing the internet, you must go through the following steps:
1. Click the Windows Start Menu and open Control Panel
2. Select System & Security
3. Then in the Firewall section, you select “Allow a program through the Windows Firewall”
4. If the program you wish to block or unblock isn’t listed, you must click “Allow another program” to add it. Choose the application in the list and select “Add”. Else you must then browse the hard drive to find it, and so on. This seems complicated for the average user.
FAB makes the process very easy! Simply drag and drop the application you wish to block into the FAB window, or browse the hard disk to find it. That’s it!
Note: FAB doesn’t change Windows Firewall default Rules. If you use 3rd party security software or a 3rd party firewall (e.g. Avast), they can disable your Windows Firewall. If you do not want Ms Edge and similar Microsoft programs to access the Internet in White List mode, you can manually disable their rules in the advanced windows firewall settings FAB runs properly only if your Windows Firewall is enabled.
