FileFriend 是一款可在圖片中隱藏文字、檔案或資料夾的工具，免安裝，介面親和直覺、簡單易用。事實上，這款免費軟體還提供檔案分割、合併與比較以及檔案和資料夾加密等功能，只是它比較獨特的地方是圖片藏檔功能，為檔案安全提供了嚴密又周全的保護措施。必須注意的是，每一項操作或功能都需要密碼，請務必妥善保管密碼！
程式啟動後，視窗左上角的頁籤就是程式所提供的功能，目前有六項，由左至右分別「(檔案) 分割」(Split)、「(檔案) 合併」(Join)、「(檔案或資料夾) 加密」(Encrypt)、「圖片隱藏檔案或資料夾」(JPK)、「圖片隱藏文字」(JTX)及「(檔案) 比較」(Compare)。這種頁籤式設計不但易於操作和切換，而且各項功能一目了然。
在這些功能中，大家對於檔案分割、合併與比較以及檔案或資料夾加密應該都不陌生，在此就不再敘述。值得探討的是 JPK 和 JTX，前者可讓使用者在圖片中隱藏檔案或資料夾，後者則可在圖片中隱藏文字，但程式目前僅支援 JPG/JPEG 圖檔。
在 JPK 頁籤，除了圖片藏檔 (Hide…) 外，還可檢視和抽出 (View and extract…) 或移除 (Remove…) 隱藏的檔案或資料夾；而在 JTX 頁籤，則可隱藏和移除文字。必須注意的是，使用者無法在一張圖片中同時隱藏檔案、資料夾和文字，只能擇一使用，因為前面的動作會被後面的動作所取代或覆蓋。
