The program is a free file/folder hiding tool. User can use it to hide files and folders on local partitions or removable devices. The data can’t be accessed by other programs or on other operating systems such as DOS. The only way to access or unhide these data is to enter the valid password. However, this application is designed for home use only but not recommended for commercial settings which require stricter confidentiality.

When you first use the software, you need to setup a login password. Inside the program, you can set a second level password for each file, folder, USB drive and encrypted drive. Anyone else can’t uninstall the program without login password or delete the protected and encrypted drive without the second level password.

The interface of the program is very intuitive. Even a first timer can get the hang of it in a minute. Better yet, while installing this program, an item called Hide File/Folder with this application is automatically added to the context menu. Users can hide files or folders by right-clicking them without launching Wise Folder Hider.
